Gupta’s Cook Me Nandyal Sona Masoori Rice (NDLR-7) is the flagship product of our brand, representing our highest standards of quality, sourcing, and processing it is known for its fine short-slender grains, soft texture after cooking, and excellent volume, making it one of the most preferred rice varieties for everyday Indian meals. This upgraded Sona Masoori variety delivers better grain strength, cleaner cultivation, and superior cooking quality compared to traditional types.
Gupta’s Cook Me Nandyal Sona Masoori is processed exclusively from NDLR-7 paddy seed, a scientifically improved Sona Masoori variety developed by the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS). NDLR-7 was introduced as a modern alternative to the traditional BPT-5204 variety, offering better pest resistance and more consistent grain quality while preserving the familiar Sona Masoori taste Indian families love.
The NDL7 paddy is carefully sourced, dried and processed at our facility. The paddy we sourced is grown in deep Black Cotton (Regur) soils, naturally rich in essential minerals that support healthy grain development. further enhances the crop’s strength, taste, and nutritional value. This unique combination of soil, water, and climate gives Nandyal Sona Masoori its distinct softness and natural sweetness.
Compared to the older BPT-5204 Sona Masoori, NDLR-7 offers a clear advantage. It is naturally resistant to pests like Brown Plant Hopper, reducing the need for chemical pesticides. As a result, the rice is cleaner, safer, and more sustainable, benefiting both farmers and consumers.
